As required by their bylaws, members of the San Dieguito Art Guild, a 501(c)3 group of San Diego County artists, met at the Community Center in Encinitas for their yearly meeting on Jan. 11.

The members enjoyed a light nosh and coffee; awarded Cheryl DeLain “Member of the Year”; honored Joan Grine for most active years in the Guild; honored Lynn Ely for 10 year as monthly show chair; held a “Bring It/Take It” gift exchange; introduced each member with a sample of their art medium; heard a “State of the Guild” presentation by guild President Linda Melvin; received a treasurer’s report by Linda Melemed; and enjoyed a short art instruction and critique by Dot Renshaw.

Over 40 members of the guild gathered to have a social time and learn more about their fellow guild members. Guild board members in attendance included Linda Melvin (president), Karen Fidel (membership), Linda Melemed (treasurer), Carol Korfin (calendar chair), Grace Swanson (publicity), Judy Salinsky (social media), Terry Oshrin (gallery manager), and Debi Buffington (wall chair).

The San Dieguito Art Guild, established in 1965, owns and operates the Off Track Gallery, located at 937 South Coast Highway 101, Suite C-103, downtown Encinitas. In addition, the group offers workshop and classes to the public and hosts the very popular annual Mother’s Day Weekend Art, Garden, and Studio Tour on Mother’s Day weekend.

Membership is open to all local San Diego County artists. For more information go to SanDieguitoArtGuild.com
