Seacrest Foundation seeks artists for a permanent public artwork

Seacrest Foundation in Encinitas is seeking proposals for a permanent public artwork resonating with its upcoming virtual gala theme “Hearts of Gold” to be installed on the Seacrest Village Retirement Communities campus in Encinitas.
At this online event, Seacrest Foundation will honor its Seacrest Heroes, who have “Hearts of Gold” and who are ensuring the safety and well-being of the elderly residents of Seacrest Village, while providing love and compassion during these especially challenging times.
Seacrest Foundation is seeking an inspiring artwork in a “heart-like” shape to be installed in a beautiful, tranquil garden setting that embodies the qualities of love, courage, strength, and compassion (see included photo of location). The “Heart of Gold” artwork will be installed in the “heart” of Seacrest Village in Annette’s Village Square and will serve as a reminder of the love and compassion that are getting people through this pandemic and will lead everyone into the future with hope.
Seacrest Foundation has put out a “Call for Artists” and welcomes artists from Encinitas and the greater San Diego community to learn more at seacrestfoundation.org/CallforArtists. (Deadline to email an application is Jan. 20, 2021.)
All proceeds from this event benefit the residents of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities. Seacrest Foundation raises much-needed funds to care for frail and elderly adults who need housing, healthcare, and supportive in-home services, who may have limited ability to provide for themselves, and who may have nowhere else to turn for help.
As part of the virtual gala fundraising program, all contributors who support the residents of Seacrest Village with a gift at the Hearts of Gold Patron level will be recognized with their name(s) and dedication inscription near the “Heart of Gold” art piece.
