Volunteers clean up Moonlight Beach

Over 200 volunteers removed 149 pounds of trash and recyclables from Moonlight Beach on Aug. 20, keeping those items out of the ocean and off of the beach. The event was organized by Mission Federal Credit Union and the Surfrider Foundation, and the first 50 volunteers received free tickets to the INDIE JAM Festival at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre.
