Studio hosting all-ages dance showcase, party

You wouldn’t think so by watching them, but dancers of all levels are set to perform during a family-friendly Holiday Showcase & Party 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Encinitas Elks Lodge, 1393 Windsor Road, Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Presented by an Encinitas movement studio, “Be Move Dance Connect,” the showcase features works from across its schedule of classes: Cardio Hip Hop, Guilty Pleasures, Contemporary Ballet, Jazz, Modern Soul, Sass & Strut, Hip Hop Choreography, Teen Hip Hop, and Teen Contemporary/Ballet.
“We’ll have beginners dancing alongside experienced professionals and you won’t know which is which,” said studio owner Elease Sgarbossa. “That’s the beauty of Be. Everyone dances. Everyone connects.”
The program includes a special performance by Bella Lux Entertainment, a professional troupe formed by Sgarbossa and Beth Guerrette and headquartered at the studio on Encinitas Boulevard.
At the end of the program, the crowd can bust a move during a dance party with a DJ. Hungry people can eat from catering provided by Taquizas Jose and a dessert bar hosted by Thick & Think Cookie Co.
