Join in the fun and explore local businesses and the neighborhood in a new way on Sunday, Jan. 12, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., when people can explore downtown Encinitas on South Coast Highway 101 via bike, on foot or other means of self-powered transportation, free of cars.
The event area will be from D Street to J Street for people to get out and enjoy the downtown with friends and neighbors, with plenty of great shops to check out and activities; including a bicycle safety rodeo, bike skills course, bicycle decorating station, informational booths, music and more. This will be a great opportunity to break out the bikes, boards and scoots to see downtown at a different pace.
Cyclovia Encinitas is a partnership effort between the City’s Environmental Commission, Traffic and Public Safety Commission, San Diego Bicycle Coalition, Encinitas 101, sponsored by Coastal Sage Landscape Architecture, Seismic, Bike Walk Encinitas, AMR Ambulance, Electra Bicycles and KTUA.
The event will promote mobility and active transportation and will include fun and informational booths to showcase Encinitas’ gold-standard Climate Action Plan (CAP).
