Birthday parade includes Encinitas Fire drive-by
When Encinitas resident Maizy Tobin turned 9 on April 13, her parents surprised her with a birthday parade. The birthday parade of friends has become a familiar sight during the stay at home order as families try to make birthdays a little extra special for their kids during the pandemic.
The newly 9-year-old Maizy was able to score an appearance by the Encinitas Fire Department, sirens and all, thanks to a favor called in by her father Rob Tobin, a field supervisor for the city of Encinitas.
