Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop reopens June 15
Three months to the day after closing due to COVID 19 the Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop at 120 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff by the Sea will reopen on Monday, June 15 at 9 a.m. The reopening includes onsite sales, donation drop offs, and donation pickups. The official “Grand Re-Opening” celebration will be held on Monday, June 29.
June is “Rebuild Your Life Month.” This will be a soft opening to give volunteers and staff time to adjust to changes that have been made during the shutdown and to learn the new safety and cleaning protocols. It will also be the beginning of summer store hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
RCHS President Judi Sanzo says the Thrift Shop will be accepting donations. “People who spent their stay-at-home time cleaning closets, garages, and store rooms can donate the items they no longer need to help Rancho Coastal Humane Society. The Thrift Shop raises one million dollars per year to support our Rancho Coastal Humane Society programs for people and pets. The three-month closure is a big loss. We’re counting on the public to help us get back on our feet.”
Daily specials will be announced in the Thrift Shop. Here are some examples:
June is Foster a Pet Month. Anyone who fosters pets for RCHS gets 10% off.
It’s Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. Anyone who has adopted a cat from RCHS during June gets 10% off.
The money raised at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop helps pets and people when they need it most.
Those who want to can “Like” Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop on Facebook. Anyone who has items to donate can drop them off at the Thrift Shop at 120 Aberdeen Drive in Cardiff by the Sea starting June 15 or call 760-753-0970 to arrange for pick up.
