The Encinitas Historical Society recently announced the return of its guided “Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Encinitas” beginning on Oct. 3. This two-hour tour has been redesigned to include additional points of historic interest. The Encinitas Historical Society’s trained docents will walk with tour participants to such places as the iconic boathouses, Cottonwood Creek, relocated historic buildings, and more as they wind their way through downtown Encinitas.

Please gather at the one room historic 1883 schoolhouse located at 390 West F Street by 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3. Masks and acceptable social distancing will be required. Bring your camera, walking shoes, and a desire to learn more about the historic downtown Encinitas. Space is limited. Call Carolyn @ (760) 753-4834 to sign up. This tour is offered free, but donations are accepted for this all-volunteer organization.
