Sophomores at Carlsbad’s Pacific Ridge School recently hosted Holocaust survivor Jerry Weiser for a discussion about his experience during and after World War II.

Grauer School students got a first-hand briefing on the problem of world hunger during a Zoom call with a member of the United Nations World Food Programme, which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020 for its efforts to aid those suffering from hunger in conflict zones and areas devastated by natural disasters.

Casa de Amistad, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) youth development organization, recently announced they will hold their annual spring fundraiser, “Sowing Seeds of Success,” on YouTube Live this year.
