Japan Festival
The Encinitas Library held its Japan Festival Aug. 3. The event celebrates San Diego’s Sister City Amakusa, Japan. The festival featured an array of Japanese artists with poetry readings, folktales, a Japanese kamishibai picture card theater, flute-beat-boxing, traditional tea ceremony demo, kendama toy demo, spin-and-win game with prizes, Japanese-themed books and more.
