Carlsbad Jimbo’s update includes removal of all single-use plastic water bottles

Jimbo’s natural foods store has begun renovations at its Carlsbad location, slated to be completed this fall. The updates to Jimbo’s Carlsbad, located in The Forum Carlsbad, will be inspired by the new customer-centric Carmel Valley store which opened last year. The natural retailer will be adding new cases to the store’s produce, dairy, meat and seafood and deli departments, expanding the bakery as well as increasing seating in the outdoor dining area.

Additionally, the Carlsbad store will be the second store on the West Coast to remove all single-use plastic water bottles from its aisles. To encourage using reusable water bottles, the renovated Jimbo’s location will have a refillable water station that will allow every customer to replenish their personal reusable bottles for free.

“After such a great response to the new look and feel at our Carmel Valley location last year, we decided to enhance the customer experience in our Carlsbad store by offering a similar look and feel to our loyal North County customers,” said Jim “Jimbo” Someck, founder of Jimbo’s. “We are committed to providing our customers and employees with the safest shopping experience and work environment possible. Throughout this renovation process, and after the project has been completed, we will be taking precautionary measures to assure our team working on-site is safe and healthy and our customers have a clean environment to shop.”

The renovated Jimbo’s Carlsbad store will continue to feature 100 percent organic produce and bulk, along with a variety of vitamins and personal care products, natural meats, sustainably sourced seafood and an expanded bakery.
