High schools honor the class of 2020 with senior send-offs

With traditional graduation ceremonies not allowed, local high schools had to get creative to celebrate the graduating class of 2020. La Costa Canyon, San Dieguito Academy High School and Sunset High School held drive-through senior send-off parades on June 11 and 12. Campus routes were decorated with balloons and banners as teachers, administrators, staff and coaches cheered on the graduates in their cars.

La Costa Canyon even created a makeshift stage with a red carpet where seniors could walk up for a photo op with their diploma.

The high schools have committed to holding a physical graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 when it is safe to do so.
