Virtual pre-recorded Encinitas candidate forums scheduled

The Leucadia-Encinitas Town Council is partnering with the League of Women Voters North County San Diego (LWVNCSD) to host two virtual pre-recorded forums for the upcoming City Council and Mayoral election. The forums will be moderated by the League of Women Voters North County San Diego. The forums for District 1 and 2 council candidates will be recorded on Thursday, Sept. 24, and the Mayoral Forum will be recorded on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

During the forum, each candidate will have an opportunity to give an opening and closing statement. League question sorter/screeners will review submitted questions to eliminate duplications and questions not appropriate for the forum. Qualifying questions will be provided to the forum moderator. The moderators will give candidates equal time for answers.

Questions may be submitted at any time but no later than 6 p.m. one day prior to the event. The link to submit candidate questions is: http://bit.ly/LWVNCSD_Forum_Questions.
