Break-a-thon raises funds for Encinitas firefighters

Encinitas Karate hosted a Board Break-a-thon, games and a special visit by the Encinitas Fire Department on Sept. 7 to raise funds for the Encinitas Firefighters Association. For a donation of $5, kids were taught the proper technique on how to break a wooden board with a karate strike. All proceeds go to the Encinitas Firefighter Association.
