Business collaboration results in ‘honey lemon cure’

James McDonald of the Encinitas Bee Company and Cheryl Konn of the Quail Flower Barn have combined forces on “the honey lemon cure,” a drink with fresh local honey and organic lemons.

They believe the drink is a way of “bringing ancient knowledge to modern times,” in keeping with the Encinitas Environment Festival in May. Turmeric and cinnamon can be included for added benefits, they say.

A Grand Opening celebrating the drink was held Jan. 28 at the Quail Flower Barn, 501 Quail Gardens Dr., where it’s available during store hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday.
