The numbers of crime cases by type, where type is defined by the most serious crime that occurred, and arrests/citations with valid addresses that were reported to the San Diego County’s Automated Regional Justice Information System (ARJIS) by Aug. 4 for July 2015 in the San Diego City neighborhoods of Del Mar Heights, Carmel Valley, North City, and Torrey Highlands, and the cities of Del Mar and Solana Beach are below:

Del Mar Heights

2 cases involving persons: 2 aggravated simple assaults

10 cases involving property: 2 residential burglaries, 1 financial crime, 4 thefts other than of or from vehicles, 2 vehicle break-ins, and 1 vehicle theft

1 case involving a less serious crime

39 arrests/citations: 1 DUI, 1 narcotics, 2 speeding, and 35 traffic other than DUI and speeding

Carmel Valley

5 cases involving persons: 5 simple assaults

36 cases involving property: 1 commercial and 8 residential burglaries, 15 financial crimes, 1 malicious mischief/vandalism, 3 thefts other than of or from vehicles, 7 vehicle break-ins, and 1 vehicle theft

3 cases involving less serious crimes

142 arrests/citations: 4 assault, 1 DUI, 1 narcotics, 26 speeding, 98 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 12 other

North City

1 case involving persons: 1 simple assault

2 cases involving property: 1 financial crime and 1 theft other than of or from a vehicle

43 arrests/citations: 1 assault, 1 narcotics, 23 speeding, 15 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 3 others

8 cases involving property: 1 residential burglary, 1 financial crime, 3 malicious mischief/vandalism, and 3 vehicle break-ins

14 cases involving persons: 1 aggravated and 12 simple assaults, and 1 sex other than rape

25 cases involving property: 1 commercial and 4 residential burglaries, 2 financial crimes, 2 malicious mischief/vandalism, 10 thefts other than of or from vehicles, 4 vehicle break-ins, and 2 vehicle thefts

42 cases involving less serious crimes

213 arrests/citations: 4 assault, 39 drunk in public, 3 DUI, 2 narcotics, 6 speeding, 66 traffic other than DUI and speeding, and 93 other

City of Solana Beach

5 cases involving persons: 1 aggravated and 4 simple assaults

15 cases involving property: 3 commercial and 3 residential burglaries, 1 financial crime, 3 thefts other than of or from vehicles, and 5 vehicle thefts
