Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association announces the pending departure of Dody Crawford as its executive director after nearly eight years in the post.

Crawford will be officially stepping down from her position to pursue special projects related to preservation and art for Downtown Encinitas 101.

Under her tenure as director of E101, historical downtown Encinitas continued its transformation into a vibrant business and entertainment center, even through a severe recession.

Crawford will remain in her role until a successor is in place.

The E101 Board has established a selection committee to search for a new executive director. “The last time we had a full search for the director position was in 1998,” said John DeWald, board president. “So we are carefully searching for our next candidate who can lead E101 into our future as a premier MainStreet Association.”

E101 is accepting applications until Oct. 24. Send a resume with a cover letter including references and salary requirements to E101 Selection Committee, 818 S. Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, CA 92014 or via email to dcrawford@encinitas101.com.
