Encinitas Community Park Grand Opening

The city of Encinitas held a Grand Opening celebration Jan. 10 for the Encinitas Community Park. It includes a 13,000-square-foot skatepark, 2-acre dog park, one soccer field, a playground, three multi-use fields, paved walking paths and plenty of open turf. General park hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with the exception of the skatepark, dog park and athletic fields, which will be open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily. Construction started in the fall of 2012.
