Sheriffs looking for public help identifying suspect

Sheriffs from the North Coastal Station in Encinitas are looked for the public’s help identifying a man who is wanted in connection with a shoplifting case.

On Aug. 5 at 8:30 p.m. the surveillance video from the Walgreens in the 1300 block of Encinitas Boulevard shows a man pacing the vitamin aisle and stuffing several cases of vitamins

Loss is estimated at nearly $700.

The suspect is described as a black man standing approximately 6-foot-6, weighing approximately 300 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray shirt, tan cargo shorts and black and white Converse sneakers.

Anyone with information about the theft or the suspect is urged to contact Detective Jaime Rodriguez at the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station at 760-966-3500.
