Japan Festival at Encinitas Library

The Sister City relationship between Encinitas and Amakusa, Japan was celebrated at the seventh Annual Japan Festival, held Aug. 13 at the Encinitas Library. The festival featured performances by Naruwan Taiko Drummers, Chika & the Happy Hoopers hula hooping students and Kikuta Kai Japanese Folk Dance and Bon Odori. Other activities included origami, tea ceremony presentations, kendama toy demonstrations and more.
