Author Lederer to be guest at fundraiser Oct. 24 in Rancho Santa Fe
The Graves’ Disease and Thyroid Foundation of Rancho Santa Fe will be hosting a book signing and pumpkin sale Oct. 24 featuring author and UT columnist Richard Lederer. He will be signing some of his latest works, including “Monsters Unchained,” “Puns Spooken Here” and “American Trivia.”
The event will be from 3-5 p.m. in the parking lot of the foundation office at 6106 La Flecha, Rancho Santa Fe. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to help support the charity.
The Graves’ Disease and Thyroid Foundation, based in Rancho Santa Fe, is a national organization that helps people with Graves’ disease and other thyroid-related disorders through education and support programs. Autoimmune thyroid disease (Graves’ disease and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis) is the most prevalent of all autoimmune diseases.
Lederer is the author of more than 40 books about language, history, and humor, including his best-selling “Anguished English” series and his current books, “Amazing Words,” “Lederer on Language,” and “Monsters Unchained!”
Lederer’s syndicated column, “Lederer on Language,” appears in newspapers and magazines throughout the United States, including U-T San Diego, and he is a founding co-host of “A Way With Words” on KPBS Public Radio. He has been named International Punster of the Year and Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel winner.
