Little Leaguers seek donations

Encinitas Little League’s Juniors all-star squad (13- and 14-year-olds) is in the midst of a brilliant run, having won the district, section, sub-section and Southern California championships. Now, the team of 14 players and three coaches is headed to Vancouver, Washington to play in the Western Regional tournament and try to earn a spot in the Juniors World Series (set for later this month in Michigan).

Unlike the younger age groups, Little League Inc does not provide any sort of assistance (airfare, lodging, food, etc) to the team, and the Encinitas Little League program wants to ensure that every player, coach and family is able to travel to Vancouver, and possible Michigan.
