San Dieguito Art Guild to present show at Balboa Park

Twenty-six local artists will have their work on display when the San Dieguito Art Guild presents a show at Gallery 21 in Spanish Village, Balboa Park.

The show, which runs from July 20 through July 31 and is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, feature one-of-a-kind, hand-made artworks by the talented guild members. These artworks include: fused glass, pottery, paintings, photography, digital art, gourd art, jewelry, mixed media, repurposed computer part clocks and even a hand-made didgeridoo.

The San Dieguito Art Guild, in its 51st year and in Encinitas since the 1980s, is made up of more than 200 local artists from San Diego County. Activities include monthly demos by established artists, a monthly newsletter with art information and opportunities, an annual “Try It, You’ll Like It” workshop and the popular Mother’s Day Weekend Art, Garden and Studio tour.

In addition, the guild gives cash scholarships to deserving college art students and supports T.E.R.i with gallery space and art supply donations.
