The Encinitas Elks Lodge held a Western Shindig Fundraiser Oct. 3 for their state’s major charity project.
This event was open to the community and included dinner, silent and live auctions as well as a celebrity look-alike band, “Left Coast Willie & Friends.”
Since its inception in 1950, well over 1 million children have been provided therapy through the California-Hawaii Elks’ Major Project, Inc., a registered 501(c)3 that provides free home-based occupational, physical and speech therapy for children from birth to 21 years, as well as preschool vision screening
The Encinitas Elks provide more than 14,000 therapy sessions per year, and more than 50,000 children are screened for vision problems.
