La Costa Canyon’s 14U Division 1 Pop Warner team wins Palomar Conference Championship

After an incredibly tense Division 1 battle that went into overtime, the La Costa Canyon Mavericks 14U team defeated the Temecula Attacking Grizzlies to become the 2019 Palomar Conference Pop Warner Football Champions.

The final score was 14-8, a win that punctuates a season in which the boys remained undefeated — but it’s not over yet. The Mavericks will next travel to Rancho Cucamonga for a Wescon Pop Warner Regional Playoff game against the 14U Yorba Linda Cowboys taking place 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Etiwanda High School. If they win this one, they’ll return to San Diego County to compete in the Regional Championship game Nov.16.
