Local restaurants to give back for Australian wildfire relief

Two restaurants in Encinitas invite the public to dine out for a good cause on Monday, Jan. 20. Union Kitchen and Tap and City Tacos in Encinitas will be donating a percentage of sales all day to support W.I.R.E.S. (Wildlife Information, Rescue, and Education Service), the largest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charity in Australia. WIRES will provide rescue and rehabilitation for all native Australian animals who have been impacted by the devastating wildfires.
Union Kitchen and Tap Encinitas will donate 25% of all sales from the day, and City Tacos will be donating 10% of all sales from the day. Both OMG Group, the owners of Union Kitchen and Tap, and City Tacos are also donating proceeds from their other San Diego locations.
Union Kitchen and Tap is open 11 a.m to 12 a.m. and is located at 1108 S Coast Highway 101. City Tacos is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 pm, and is located at 1031 S Coast Highway 101, Suite A101.
